Womb Hara Massage

at Nuwa Natural Health, Tugun, Gold Coast

Womb Hara Massage combines gentle abdominal massage with energy healing to nurture menstrual health and fertility, support digestion and detoxification, and unravel tension from the body. It also nourishes your nervous system and supports deeper breathing.

This type of massage focuses on the abdomen and pelvic bowl; including the womb, ovaries, digestive system, diaphragm, and lower back. Womb Hara Massage emerges from a combination of  ancient Chinese Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage, Fertility Massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and Mayan abdominal massage techniques.

Energy healing can be interwoven with the massage to support your emotional and energetic wellbeing. Guided by your specific intentions, this could include clearing held emotions or energies, conception preparation, ancestral healing, healing from birth trauma or miscarriage, reconnecting to your womb, etc.

Each session includes a consultation and aftercare advice, and will be tailored to your individual needs.

Womb Hara Massage may assist with:

  • Menstrual cycle concerns: PMS, period pain, irregular cycles and ovulation
  • Stress & anxiety: activates the parasympathetic nervous system
  • Endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids and cysts
  • Conception preparation and fertility support
  • Postpartum recovery
  • Healing after miscarriage
  • Perimenopause and menopause symptoms
  • Digestion: constipation, bloating, IBS
  • Lower back and pelvic pain
  • Abortion after-care
  • Softening scar tissue in the abdomen
  • Feeling more grounded in your body
  • Deepening your connection to your womb

If you do not have a physical womb and/or ovaries, you can still receive many benefits from abdominal massage. We can also work energetically with the womb and ovaries, if you desire.

Womb Hara Massage is not suitable if:

  • You’re pregnant (or think you might be)
  • You’ve just given birth. It’s recommended that you wait 4+ weeks for vaginal birth or 8+ weeks after cesarean
  • You currently have an IUD
  • You have any active STDs
  • You’ve recently had surgery and have not yet been cleared by your primary healthcare provider
  • During your period or 2-3 days before you bleed (this isn’t a strict rule but is recommended, especially if you have heavy periods)
